Makers of Change are everywhere.
They are the people you turn to when you get stuck in a rut.
They are the ones who seem to “get it” when you talk about change. When everyone else runs away from things that are different and new, they run towards it. They are the people who can make change happen even in the most conservative organizations.
I’ve been lucky enough to form friendships with quite a few makers of change over the years. (Stephanie Evergreen and Ann Emery, I’m thinking of both of you right now).
These are people who take on the challenge of making real change happen.
Sure, sometimes they struggle. We all do. Change and innovation is never as easy as some people can make it look. Sometimes they even fail. But when they do, they usually pick themselves up and continue forward.
I’m collecting maker of change stories.
Do you know someone who is a Maker of Change?
Someone who has helped you get through a particularly challenging time in your career, or life. Maybe someone who has helped your business or organization change the way they think about something.
A catalyst that helped speed up change. They didn’t get burnt out by the challenge but confronted head on and helped you or your organization move forward. A person who made innovation happen just by being them.
Can you tell me their story?
As I mentioned the other day, I’ve relaunched diydatadesign as Maker of Change. My goal, to help passionate people embrace the role of a catalyst and make change happen faster in their organizations, businesses, or communities.
In addition to telling everyone my story, and offering a collection of activities and lessons, I plan to lead a series of interviews with the people who make change happen everyday.
Everyone has a different style, and one thing I have learned over the years it is this…asking questions of people with experience, then really listening to the answers, is a fantastic way to get introduced to just about anything.
Here is how to share their story.
- Let us all hear the story by writing it in a comment.
- Make sure to shoot them an email with the link and let them know you shared their story!
