Want to design an infographic but don’t know how to use illustrator (a.k.a. the thing most designers use for infographics)?
You have a lot more options these days with template based sites like piktochart, easelly, and infogram.
You can also use a photo collage builder like pixlr or fotor to lay it all out.
But one of my favorite non-illustrator methods is to just use Power Point. In the design tab you can change the slide size to whatever you would like, giving you an instant infographic canvas. Now design away on a platform you know, and when you’re done just save as PNG.
So what size should you use? There is no standard. If you’re designing for print my favorite is tabloid (11 x 17). It’s a common page size that many office printers can handle, folding it in half makes it 8 1/2 by 11 (fits in a folder), and it even scales down for those that want to print it on regular paper.

Hi Chris,
hope everything goes well. Just want to add http://www.canva.com as a useful template based site.
Cheers!
