I have officially arrived in Anaheim for this year’s American Evaluation Association Conference. To date, my link to the association, outside of paying dues, has been through my local AEA affiliate RTP Evaluators and the online community of evaluators you find on twitter and the blogosphere. If there is one big thing I am looking forward to, it is personally connecting with the people behind these accounts.
I will be presenting twice at the conference. The first will come in the form of a 5 minute Ignite presentation on blogging at the datavis TIG meeting on Thursday evening. This will be open to all and should be chock full of fun. My second presentation will be on data visualization tools on Friday as part of the Exploring Data Visualization for Evaluation session. My co-presenters include Susan Kistler, who will be talking about Tableau, and Stuart Henderson, who will be covering Qualitative visualization. Tarek Azzam will act as our discussant.
If you want to connect, send me a tweet @clysy. I’ll also be covering the Westat exhibit on Thursday morning from 7:45 to 9:30, please stop by and say hello.
If you could not make it to the conference, I’ll have my iPad and plan to blog my experiences (I apologize in advance for any misspellings). I’ve also setup Eval Central with a twitter widget showing all #eval11 tweets.

Chris, all the best for these days… I´ll be following you and all the gusy using the #eval11 hashtag. (I loved the cartoon!)
Chris
Thanks Pablo, more to come 🙂
