As in the past several years, I’ll be live cartooning this year’s American Evaluation Association Conference. This post will keep getting updated, so make sure you bookmark it and come back and visit over the next few days.
Cartooning Evaluation 2015 Webinar Series
This year I’m also going to do something a little different. I’m going to host a series of impromptu live cartooning webinars during the event. I don’t want to keep bugging people who don’t want to follow the conference, so the only way to make sure you hear about them when they happen is to register. Click here to register.
Cartoons
One of these was drawn on my ipad by John Gargani, the guy who now holds the AEA president’s gavel. Can you guess which one?
Sharry Erzinger
I love your creativity. I have dabbled in graphic facilitation and visual leadership for a long time, using materials from Grove http://www.grove.com/
I just don’t have time/ talent to actually DO these! Will you present to AEA next year as well?

Probably, but you never know. I will be covering a lot of the concepts after I open the full diydatadesign workshop in a couple weeks ๐

Sitting at my desk laughing…remembering the frustrating and funny situations of conference time.
I practiced sketchnoting during the sessions this year. My non-evaluator co-workers think I went to a cartooning conference instead. ๐
Chris Lysy
Ha, that’s awesome ๐
Cecelia Powell
Thanks for the cartoons. They are so accurate!
BTW, did you know that the scrolling information displays were interactive? You could select your session location, and it would show you how to get there.
I didn’t find that out until Friday.
Chris Lysy
Thanks Cecelia!
No, I didn’t know that ๐
melissa
Wait. There were scrolling information displays?! Pardon me, I was stuck in Silver the whole week.
Chris Lysy
Ha!
Melissa Chapman Haynes
Thanks, Chris, this is great! I’m going to share it with my evaluation internship class. We were actually just discussing how to bring idealistic clients back to reality…never an easy topic. So appreciate your poem and cartoon!
Chris Lysy
Thanks Melissa ๐
