One of my favorite things about evaluation is that there is a need to communicate findings and evidence to a wide variety of audiences.
It’s not enough to just do the evaluation. You need to make the results digestible for all sorts of people. Then you need to reach those people.
This means explaining important academic concepts to people who have no background in the academics. It means sharing datasets in formats accessible to non-data geeks. It means thinking honestly about the people you need to reach and finding ways to connect.

This week instead of cartoons, I was going to write a post about specific data visualization methods and tools, but it seemed like something better explained through video. So that’s what I’ve decided to do, launch a series of webinars on data visualization methods and tools.
I’m going to keep it pretty low key. The only way to know about any of the specific webinars will be to join my email list. So if you’re interested, and you’re not on my list right now, it’s time to join.
Now on to a new set of cartoons, but starting with an old one…

These are quite good, especially the last one! Is the person on the right meant to be a fortune teller? If so, suggest you make more obvious 🙂

Thanks Thalia, right you are on the last one. I was wondering if it was too subtle.
