Here is an easy way to create an infographic using power point. This time for web publication.
If you publish a set of images stacked on top of one another they appear as a single image. So to create an infographic, just create a series of slides with alternating background colors and export as images.
This infographic was created from ten power point slides and stacked in wordpress. The images can be easily re-ordered and any single one (or multiple) can be turned into a link (the bottom image below is clickable). So you can use this approach to create an index or to connect to multiple individual sources.
If you’re one of my patrons, I’ve posted the step by step instructions. For everyone else, this will be part of the larger workshop I’m developing. Hop on my email list if you’d like to know when it’s available.
Chris-
This is lovely! It reminds me a bit of an improved Haper Magazine Harper’s Index.
Thanks for sharing the process with Patrons.
Glad you like it Lisa 🙂
It’s really easy to change the look too, all you need to do is alter the size of the slide/background colors.
The only hitch I’ve found is that a website, email client, or blog’s stylesheet could be setup in a way that automatically creates spacing between the segments. Of course even then it just looks stylistic.
Oh, and for those wondering, here is a version of this same infographic I created using a free WordPress.com blog. No fancy premium responsive theme necessary…

Love this! Totally trying it soon. 🙂 Thanks Chris!
If you do Sheila, definitely share the result 🙂
