So I know I’ve been quiet lately.
You know how it is, something comes up, you overextend and then all of a sudden you are knocked out of a habit. Then once you’re out, it can be really hard to get back in.
For me there is only one way out. Cartoon my way!
Daily cartoons are coming for the next little bit. For those of you who receive my email, it’s going to temporarily switch to a weekly digest. If I’m able to keep it up for a bit, we’ll think about doing something more permanent.
Today’s cartoon inspired by Seth Godin:
“There’s a fundamental difference between the things you do every day, every single day, and the things you do only when the spirit moves you.
One difference is that once you’ve committed to doing something daily, you find that the spirit moves you, daily.
Rather than having a daily debate about today’s agenda, you can decide once that you will do something, and then decide every single day how to do it.”
Nice! Keep at it!
Thanks Adam 🙂
Way to go, Chris! I’ve been struggling to break a personal exercise drought. Thanks for sharing your experience and providing inspiration.
Thanks Kathleen! I’ve fought through that particular drought before too.
We’ve missed you!! Welcome back!!
Thanks Peter!
Great to read your posting again. I miss the inspiration. This type of drought happens to me with online courses : (
Thanks Olga, best of luck recovering from your own droughts 🙂
I know how hard it is on a weekly basis; a daily “habit” is even harder (unless you make it a priority). Getting back into the “habit” after a break is tough; it is more than just writing/drawing block. The words of inspiration you offered (from Seth Godin) articulates what I had intended with my blog. Blogging becomes a priority. So glad you didn’t quit, just took a break.
Thanks Molly 🙂
Love the new cartoon! Glad to see your back.
Thanks Emma 🙂
Only when I saw your name did I realize I had been missing you. Welcome back.
Thanks Erica 🙂
So glad you’re back! I had checked your page a few times convinced I didn’t get the email announcement. I missed your work. Thanks for the inspiration~
Thanks Amanda, I don’t think you were the only one checking to make sure they didn’t fall off my email list 🙂
He’s baaaaack! So good to see you at it again. 🙂
Love the Seth Godin advice. He’s one of my favorites and a dedicated blogger, even on days he only has a few words to say.
I’m hopeful this will inspire me, a now deadbeat blogger, to start hitting the publish button again.
I appreciate it Sheila. Of course for someone so involved with AEA365, I’m not sure you can really call yourself a deadbeat blogger.
True! I do blog there! Working on tomorrow’s post as we speak! 🙂
